Wacky Wednesday

Today was Wacky Wednesday at preschool. Ky went with 2 different colors of socks and hairties. She also got to use hair glitter for that extra "wacky" look. She was going to wear a tutu, but she changed her mind last minute. Either way, she looked cute!

It's all about Kyrie!

Next monday at Preschool is "All about Kyrie!" Our part includes making a poster that features Ky's favorite things and pictures of her growing up. It was my first school project as a mom and I see a lot of work in my future! Ky helped pick her favorite things and which pictures to use. By the end she had even realized that she was the baby in the pictures.

Green Eggs and Ham

Today at preschool we celebrated Dr. Suess's birthday. Sadly, I forgot my camera, so the pictures are a little blurry since I took them with my phone. Ky loved wearing her Dr. Suess hat and listening to the stories.

For snack time they made Green Eggs and Ham. You have to love when preschool teachers are motivated enough to tackle making eggs and ham with 18 3 year olds. She even dressed up as Dr. Suess! Then, to my complete suprise Ky ate it. We have tried to get her to eat eggs several times to no avail. I guess they taste better green.

Sundae Sunday

Last night as Ty and I were upstairs, we heard some very loud "I did its!" from the downstairs playroom. Usually not a good sign! Ty went downstairs to find that the girls had cleaned it themselves and had actually done a fantastic job. After we got over our shock, we decided to celebrate with ice cream for all. Ky ate hers so fast I didn't get a picture of her, but I did catch Savvy. Too cute!

track pants

Tonight Ky demanded to pick her own pajamas. None of the ones in the drawer would do, so she opted for a brown Old Navy dress shirt and Navy track pants. Yeah, my kid has STYLE! She also loves to slide down the stairs to get to the playroom. As she discovered tonight that track pants plus stairs equals going really fast. Guess what we have spent all night doing?

Family Fun

Last Saturday my parents came down to attend the Draper Temple open house with us. We had so much fun. The temple was beautiful, and the girls really liked the cookies at the end. After the open house we went out to eat with my parents, my sister, and her cute kids. The girls love playing with their cousins!

After lunch the girls got to go on a special shopping trip with Grandma and Grandpa. They got to pick new bedding! It was a belated Christmas present since we were moving in December. They both picked different designs - not a huge suprise. They have such different personalities. Ky picked blue flowers and Savvy picked polka dots. Here are some pictures of them settling in their new beds.

Thanks mom and dad! The girls love the new bed stuff, and they really loved spending the day with you. Hopefully we can do it again really soon!

playing in the backyard

It was so warm outside today, so we threw on jackets and ventured into our new backyard. The girls had such a good time just running all over the place. It amazes me sometimes how they make up ways to entertain themselves. I was able to actually get some ok pictures so I am sharing them all!

"Sister Hugs"
"Sharing"

"Cheese!"

"counting rocks"

"deep thoughts"

"RUN!"

Then, to finish off the afternoon in the fresh air we did some noisemakers. I am sure our new neighbors love us! The girls weren't able to always throw them hard enough to make them pop, but they figured out stepping on them worked just as well. They got so excited! Savvy was so proud and I caught her on video telling me that she "did it!"
