My friend Janae took pics of the girls yesterday. She is truely talented! It made my day to see how wonderful they turned out - especially since the girls were not in a very cooperative mood. Thanks again Janae! I owe you big time! Here is a link to the pictures:

Too funny!
I haven't been great about taking pictures this week, but the girls never stop being cute. They are both getting so big and it is creating some funny moments!
Ky spent twenty minutes stringing colored shoelaces through a chair followed by a loud "Ta-Da!" and grand bow.
Savvy's favorite song is "I'm bringing home a baby bumble bee." She got really mad at Ky the other day and instead of hitting her - she looked at her, poked her finger to her hand, and with a squished up little nose told her older sister "It stung you!"
I can't believe they are both going to be having a birthday soon! I don't know how, but they get funnier every day!

Happy Birthday to Daddy!
Today was Ty's birthday and we went out to celebrate! We ate lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. Savvy especially loved it since it was her first time eating cheesecake. The girls got to spend the rest of the afternoon with their cousins and they had a great time! (Thanks Again April!) Me and Ty went and saw The Dark Knight. Holy cow. Great movie! Anyway - Happy Birthday to Daddy Ty... we love you!

Our little graduate!
Ky has graduated from her speech therapy program and has been accepted for Preschool starting in September. She had her last home visit today. She was very proud of her diploma. We will really miss Ky's speech therapist though! The girls both loved her and Ky grew so much under her care. Hopefully she'll get teachers that good in Preschool!

Savvy's no good very bad day
Savvy had her first ER visit today. Poor little thing. We had been having a normal day until I went to change her diaper this afternoon. Let's just say there was stuff in the diaper that shouldn't have been there. I called her doctor and he had me rush her to the ER. Luckily they were able to fix her up and she was diagnosed with an "underdeveloped colon." I guess it can happen in some preemies. Hopefully she'll grow out of it, but if it happens again we might be facing surgery. I felt so bad, I just wanted to make her feel better. Luckily, she was a trooper and had fun playing with her admission bracelet and talking to our roommate. Unfortunately, he was a bloody inmate and was handcuffed to his bed with a four police escort. It didn't stop her from asking him in her sweet little voice "Whatcha' Doin'?" The police thought she was the funniest thing ever, and the inmate even cracked a smile.

My Little Ponies
Today I passed on a set of My Little Ponies from when I was little to my girls. They fed the ponies their bottles, gave them baths, and put them "night-night." They played with it all day. It was so fun seeing them enjoy something I had so much fun with when I was little. I'm sure this picture is like deja vu for my parents!

Beauty Parlor
Ky was taking a late nap today and it gave me some rare alone time with Savvy. I realized that I had never had the chance to play beauty parlor with her like I had done with Ky. She loved splashing in the sink and giving herself high fives in the mirror. She looked adorable with her little ringlets!

Pudder Bear's Bath
Pudder goes everywhere with Ky. They do all the same things and he gets as dirty as she does. The problem is that I can't sneak him away long enough to give him a "bath." I thought I had gotten him away unseen today, but no such luck. She was heartbroken that he was "missing." Our whole afternoon went something like this:
An hour later, I finally gave in and got him out of the dryer. He was still damp, but she just simply couldn't wait another second! What a reunion!

Fireworks (for real!)
For those who don't know me well, the 4th of July is my favorite holiday. I love how for one day the majority of the country sets aside their differences and comes together to celebrate. I have had a Grandfather, Uncle, Cousin, and Brother-In-Law serve in the military and I love reflecting on the freedom they helped to preserve. This year I couldn't wait to share this with the girls.
We took the girls to "Stadium of Fire" at Cougar Stadium. OH my! How much fun they had! With american bows, sparkly fingernails, hair glitter, face paint, and glow jewelry they were dressed for the occasion. The event started with sky divers and if that was all there had been - the girls would have left happy. They squealed with delight at the bright parachutes and clapped their whole way down. When they landed Savvy waved at them and said "hi! thank you!" She's so sweet!
The girls loved the dancers, and it made me think that only 10 years ago my mom was there watching me perform. The girls danced along to the Blue Man Group and Miley Cyrus (however they were a little confused at the hundreds of screaming ten year olds all around us.) They both had a lot of fun with the 3D glasses that were meant for the fireworks between the acts.
I fell in love with this picture of Ky. It's just... her. Both of the girls loved the fireworks. Savvy was sitting on Daddy's lap and the fireworks lulled her to sleep despite her best efforts to watch them. Ky was wide awake though! She snuggled into my lap and ohh'd and ahh'd at the lights. I decided that everything is more wonderous through the eyes of a child. I covered her ears for most of it, and when they got really loud she covered her eyes as well. I don't know how it helped, but she thought it was effective. I could have sat there with her on my lap forever - just enjoying the time together.
