Looking Back...

I was looking back at some older pictures today and found this one from a year ago. The girls had just turned 2 and 1. I can't believe how much they have changed over the last year. They look so tiny. Now Ky is starting preschool and Savvy is a whirlwind of words. They truely grow up too fast.

Savvy's Surgery

Today was Savvy's surgery - we are so glad it is finally over! She actually liked the hospital at first. The nurses blew bubbles while they got her ready and she even got a new "friend" from the gift shop. Here is her "before" shot:
Here is our precious little Savvy after the surgery. She was so mad when she woke up it took two nurses to keep her from taking out her IV. Poor little thing. Luckily it all went really well and she should be as good as new. She was already back to herself by the time we got home - she just wanted to eat!

seventy-five cents of happiness...

Today Ky got signed up for dance classes for fall. I looked into several local dance studios and found one I was comfortable with. She will go once a week and do ballet, tap, and jazz. I hope that it will give her an outlet for all her energy! After signing her up we went to some garage sales... one of our favorite weekend activities. We came across barely used ballet slippers and tap shoes in Ky's size - which we got, but it wasn't what she had her eye on. Seventy-five cents later she had her prize... Lightning McQueen car slippers that were 2 sizes to big may have been some guy's junk, but to Ky it was the ultimate treasure. Pudder drove the left one the whole way home.

"I TWO!" (part 2)

Savvy had her big birthday celebration today. Our first stop was the Wheeler Farm to see the animals. Both girls had fun feeding the ducks and looking at the rabbits, horses, cows, and pigs.

We picked Souper Salad for Savvy's birthday lunch because she is our veggie girl. She would eat salad for every meal if we let her. She sat in a big girl chair and told us whenever we asked how old she was "I TWO!" and would giggle.

After lunch we all went to Wall-E again. The girls loved this movie even more this time if that is possible. Theywere so worn out from clapping they passed out on the way home for cake and ice cream.

Cake was popular, but presents were the biggest hit. Savvy got a princess dress-up trunk. It didn't take long to have an Aurora and a Tinkerbell running through the house. Both girls had recieved Cars shirts for their birthdays, so luckily we convinced them to wear those to bed! A huge thanks to everyone who helped make her day so special - she loved all the attention!

My Savvy is almost 2! (part 1)

We are all ready for Savvy's big day! I can't believe she is so big... time goes by way too fast. We have a lot of fun planned for her, she's even getting the Wall-E cake she requested. It had to be pink and purple or it just wouldn't be Savvy's.

Our Vacation!

We were lucky enough to go on a weekend getaway to Bear Lake and Logan. It was so fun to relax and just play - even if it was only for a few days.

This was Ky's attempt at packing. According to her all she needs is Pudder.

This is the view of the lake from my parents' cabin. So beautiful and calm. At one point there was a deer and her twin fawns in the driveway, but Ky kept saying "woof!" so I guess to her they were dogs.

Here are the girls all ready to go to the beach in their little swimsuits and cover-ups. They both went down all those stairs all by themselves!

Ky loved digging in the sand and collecting shells. Over and over she filled that bucket.

Savvy just liked to follow Daddy around like a shadow. She would even go into the lake if he was holding her - she is a very brave little lady.

We went out for hand scooped ice cream after a long day in the sun, and Ky decided that spoons were overrated. She could eat it much faster with the direct approach.

We spent the last couple days with my parents in Logan. We played in the garden, ate fresh veggies, and made hairbows for the girls. Grandma and Grandpa even took us to our favorite pizza place where the girls filled up on garlic bread. The next day we all went to the park where Ky had no fear going up and down the playground equipment and Savvy took a calmer approach and looked at the horses with Grandpa.

We had so much fun, hopefully we can go back really soon!
